Introducing LyndaLibrary
Learn through bite-sized videos, anywhere, anytime, with eLearning courseware LyndaLibrary by LinkedIn:
- Learn anything: Over 8,000 courses covering a wide range of topics, from data science to leadership skills
- Learn from experts: Many courses are taught by recognised industry experts
- e.g. There is a course on the world-renowned Getting Things Done productivity method course taught by its creator, David Allen.
- Learn on the go: Easy access through the NLB Mobile app
- Learn hands-on: Test your new knowledge immediately with the exercises* and quizzes included
The NLB Mobile app is available for download on the Apple AppStore and Google Play Store.
*Exercises are not available on mobile devices, only via an internet browser on desktop PCs and laptops
Getting Started
Sign in to NLB Mobile with your myLibrary ID and select the ‘eLearning’ icon on the Home page. You will be directed to LyndaLibrary. Do note that if you are a new LyndaLibrary user, you will be prompted to create a Lynda profile.
If you prefer to do your eLearning on a laptop or desktop, you can! Watch this video.
As an NLB library member, you have complimentary access to the online courses from LyndaLibrary that NLB has subscribed to. Do note that you will be prompted to create a Lynda.com profile to save your history and bookmarks.
Yes! All NLB members can enjoy free access to training courses from NLB’s subscription to LyndaLibrary, even if they have their own personal subscription to Lynda.com. You have the option to keep both accounts separate.
You don't need the Lynda mobile app to access the online courses. But if you wish to use the Lynda app (e.g. to download courses for offline viewing) you can! Just follow the steps listed in our eResources FAQ page on LyndaLibrary.
Yes! As an NLB library member, you have complimentary access to the online courses from LyndaLibrary that NLB has subscribed to.
